ODNI Preliminary Assessment on UAP

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence's first public UAP assessment, mandated by Congress — 144 reports reviewed, only one resolved with high confidence, and an explicit statement that most remained unexplained due to limited, inconsistent data. The foundational document of the modern disclosure era.

The UAP Disclosure Act (Schumer-Rounds)

Sens. Chuck Schumer and Mike Rounds introduce the bipartisan UAP Disclosure Act, modeled on the JFK Records Act — proposing a presumption of full disclosure, a review board, and eminent domain provisions for recovered materials held by contractors.

NASA UAP Independent Study Team Report

NASA's own 16-member independent study team publishes its findings: no evidence UAP are extraterrestrial, but a real recommendation to apply rigorous scientific method and better sensor data to future investigation, plus criticism of the stigma surrounding pilot reporting.

AARO Historical Record Report, Volume I

AARO's own historical review — covering 1945 to the present — finds no evidence any U.S. government investigation, program, or effort has ever encountered, retrieved, or reverse-engineered extraterrestrial technology.

"Restoring Public Trust" — House Oversight Hearing

The House Oversight Committee's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets holds its first UAP-focused hearing. Eric Burlison unveils the "Gimbal"-style MQ-9 Reaper/Hellfire footage from off the coast of Yemen.

AARO FY2025 Consolidated Annual Report

Released months after its statutory deadline, AARO's Fiscal Year 2025 report documents 319 new UAP reports received between June 2, 2024 and May 30, 2025 — including a single maritime-domain case describing roughly 100 airborne objects and two suspected uncrewed surface vessels observed by U.S. Navy assets off the coast of Virginia. Every resolved case in the report was ultimately attributed to a conventional cause.

House Adopts the Burlison UAP Disclosure Amendment

The House of Representatives adopts Rep. Eric Burlison's UAP disclosure amendment — including an eminent domain provision — to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2027. If enacted, it would create a permanent UAP Records Collection at the National Archives and an independent, Senate-confirmed UAP Records Review Board with subpoena authority, extending disclosure requirements to government contractors.

How This Is Kept Current

This is a hand-curated, individually-sourced tracker, not a computed data page — each entry above was independently verified against its own primary source (a government report, a hearing record, or an official press release) before being added, the same sourcing standard as every case file on this site. When a tracked event grows into its own full case file (as five of the seven entries above already have), this page links to that file directly rather than duplicating its content. New entries are added as real, verified developments occur — see the Network Log for a record of when this site's content actually changes.
